Our systematic approach integrates methodologies drawn from a spectrum of disciplines and extensive practical knowledge. Training programs are conducted on a personalized basis, carefully tailored to suit the unique needs of both you and your companion.

Our training regimen encompasses a range of skills, including but not limited to obedience, retrieving, tracking, upland hunting (gun dog), and more technical training designed for AKC and NAVHDA hunt tests.

General or Bird Dog Obedience

Duration: Approx 4 Weeks

The transition from a companion to a working dog starts here. This program is designed for young dogs or those needing a total reset. We focus on clear communication and the “Off-Switch.”

• Commands: (but not limited to): Recall, Heel, Woah, and Place (Stay). * We eliminate the “Sit” command to preserve a solid point foundation when under pressure.

• Conditioning: Professional introduction to the stimulation collar.

• Field Prep: Introduction to gunfire and birds.

• Socialization: Controlled exposure to people, dogs, and public environments.

• Home Discipline: Final 2-week focus on “off-switch” behavior and household manners.

The Reliable Retrieve (Force Fetch)

Duration: Approx 6 Weeks

A professional retrieve is not a game—it is a mandatory command. This program is often requested by clients who have personally trained their dogs, or have had other trainers complete training, though the dog does not have a consistent retrieve. This training removes the “guesswork” from your dog’s delivery.

• The Process: This is a disciplined, step-by-step program transitioning from the “Hold” to the “Fetch”, designed to ensure your dog retrieves any object on command, regardless of distractions or terrain.

• Object Generalization: Training with bumpers, cold game, and birds.

• The Result: A dog that delivers to hand with a soft mouth, every time, regardless of distraction or terrain.

The Finished Hunter / Gun Dog

Duration: Approx 10 Weeks

Our most technical program, designed for the serious wingshooter or those preparing for AKC/NAVHDA Hunt tests or Trials.

* Requirements: Dog must be proficient in basic obedience outlined above.

• Steadiness: Systematic training for Steadiness to Flush, Wing, and Shot.

• Technical Field Work: Force Fetch, hunting over live birds, and introduction to Honoring/Backing other dogs in the field.

• The Goal: A “broke” gun dog that is steady through the shot and retrieves only upon your release.

Dog Boarding

$35 day & $25 night / per dog (ask about our multi-dog discount)

We do offer boarding in our indoor, climate controlled facility as a first come, first serve, as space is available.

All canines must possess up-to-date vaccinations for rabies and bordetella (kennel cough).

Please ensure that you bring an ample supply of your dog’s food to cater to their dietary requirements throughout their stay.

Our personal dogs are trained and hunted by us across various regions in the United States, on a variety of upland and waterfowl game.

To perpetuate traits we desire in our litters, the majority of our intentional line breeding practices follow patterns that have been meticulously calculated for goal-oriented dual qualities. These qualities have been envisioned and targeted by other esteemed American and German breeders.

Presently, our breeding program includes YACCO Z KNOLLOVY SKOLY, SH (Titled AKC Senior Hunter) – imported Deutsch Kurzhaar, Hips OFA 58 Good, Elbows OFEL 58. MOUNTAINS FURY KANE UT-PZ3 (NAVHDA) & NA-PZ1 (NAVHDA) – Hips OFA 24 Excellent, Elbows OFEL 24, who boasts a robust foundation of Versatile Champions hailing from renowned bloodlines such as Friedelsheim’s, Hillhaven’s, Sundance, Merrymeeting’s, and more. KANPOINTS GAMBLE: JEFFERSONS RESERVE, currently working through AKC Senior Hunter, and training for his NAVHDA Utility Test.

Our German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) breeding program collaborates closely with Mountains Fury GSPs in New York, along with other reputable breeders.
